University Welcome Programme Tours and Events
Every year we cater the welcome programme for the four universities in Glasgow. These events are designed to give you a proper welcome to the city and the country. Look out soon for information on the September 2019 programme of events.
University of Glasgow
The University of Glasgow and Student Tours Scotland (The Keltic Ginger) will be teaming up in September 2019 to bring you a range of awesome day trips around Scotland by coach. These will include a full day in Edinburgh City, coastal trips to the East and another West as well as some really random places that tourists rarely see. It's a great way to welcome you to the campus and the country. Look back before Summer 2019 for the full programme.
University of Strathclyde
Student Tours Scotland (The Keltic Ginger) enjoys a range of activities with the University of Strathclyde as part of their welcome programme for new students. In September 2019 we plan on offering several Myths and Legends themed tours and events surrounding the Glasgow Accent (where you can get to grips with our crazy dialect) as well as a day trip to Edinburgh and another somewhere further north. Check back by Summer 2019 for the full schedule.
Glasgow Caledonian University
The younger of the three city centre universities has a great relationship with Student Tours Scotland (The Keltic Ginger). Every year we offer inclusive events as part of the Welcome Programme at Glasgow Caledonian University. In September 2019 we will be offering some exclusive Myths and Legends Glasgow walking tours, a Music Tour with our partners at Glasgow Music City Tours as well as a trip to Edinnburgh and somewhere further in the Highlands of Scotland. Keep an eye on the awesome Glasgow Accent night we also do in the form of a quiz. Check back in Summer 2019 for more.
University of the West of Scotland
Finally UWS students are getting an exclusive walking tour of myths and legends and stories in the heart of Paisley town centre.
Student Tours Scotland and the University of the West of Scotland (Paisley Campus) have teamed up in 2019 to offer some welcome walking tours with a mythological twist as well as an event on the Glasgow Accent with some prizes to be won. Check back in Summer 2019 for all the details.
